Ok, this is a touche subject for me but the book was well written and if I could just look past the relationship context it was a good story. I still gave it 5 stars. Just because the relationship isn't something I personally condone doesn't mean I don't recognize a good book and author. ( )
Out of all the previous books in this exciting series, this one is by far the most distinct. Rife with danger, and in my opinion child abuse remembered by the female love interest. Kaden has the hardest mental and physical task to get his true love. After all its not easy when she's married to what's mostly considered a sadistic mob boss with control issues. Whether they love each other or not, this won't be easy. So much so that their feelings, Hidden from everyone else and to some extent each other has lasted for three years. Three years loving one another from a distance, and for good reason. Afraid for the safety of Kaden first, and herself second...she keeps silent, and tries to keep him in the dark add to why she's pushing him away. When things take a distinct change at home, can things remain the same? There's a lot of darkness in this book, so be warned. However, like in all her books the payoff is well worth it. ( )
