The ending pissed me off. I don’t usually like to read books about drug smuggling, gambling and Mexican gangsters, but something in the Kindle annotation of this book appealed to me. This is the story of three sisters. One is police detective, another is an FBI agent, and the youngest is a delightful fun-loving, careless girl who doesn’t show good judgment when it comes to men. A serial killer is on the loose. He kidnapped a woman, kept her for a year and then dumped her. He has kidnapped another woman and everyone is on edge because it nearing the time he should drop the body and pick up another woman. The FBI sister is sent to work undercover in a casino. The story lines run together, and the suspense is realistic. It was a good Kindle book to read on the treadmill. ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Separated by the Colorado River are the scorching desert cities of Bullhead City, Arizona and the gambling town of Laughlin, Nevada where serial killer, El Jefe, stalks his women. Annually, El Jefe kidnaps a new victim shortly after leaving his previous years' victim in a gruesome public display. Rachael Pennington, a Bullhead Police detective, is driven to protect her city and determined to catch El Jefe. She is blindsided when he abducts her sister. The turbulent world of the Colorado River runs through the book and the lives of the Pennington sisters indelibly flow with the powerful and often treacherous currents.
