I really loved how this graphic novel was structured and how it focused on only two girls of the baby-sitters club and used letters throughout the novel. I also loved how this book focused on stacy and maryann relationship. I also really liked how this book was set in the summer and really loved reading it. I also still am really loving the art style in this read and love how this book dealt with friendship drama and also babysitting drama. I also still am really loving the art style in this read and love how this book dealt with friendship drama and also babysitting drama. Over a few days, I read all seven of the available Baby-Sitters Club graphic novels. As a huge fan of the novels when I was a kid, I was nervous to see these adaptations. Would they retain the same charm? The nostalgia was strong. It was such a delight to revisit Kristy, Claudia, Stacey, Mary Anne, Dawn, Mallory. Jessi isn't back yet, and I hope she makes an appearance with the next installment. I loved reading about some of the old client families and the drama that went along with them. The illustrations captured the characters, and while the GN series has two illustrators and different styles, I think as a series it feels cohesive. To me, part of the appeal of the series is characters kids can relate to and situations they might encounter. My 5th grade boy and 3rd grade girl have devoured the graphic novels and really enjoyed them, and they're excited that I've purchased some of the original novels (I don't have my old books anymore, boo!). I'm glad I read these graphic novels -- they were so much fun. A super sweet story almost like drinking Pepsi after eating cookies. I could see where the story was heading from the get-go, but, thankfully, it managed to happen without the all-embarrassing [rating from personal enjoyment!] aucune critique | ajouter une critique

While they are on their trip they send postcards to other members of the baby-sitters club as a means of keeping in touch. They also get into a few disagreements over boys. Did I mention boys? They both meet a couple as well and seem to hit off alright, although they aren’t both happy for each other in a sense.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It helps to show that even when you have plans and you know what you are meant to do, that things don’t always work out that way. It shows that sometimes, things aren’t what they seem, and sometimes they are. It also shows, that when you make a commitment to do something you should really stick with it and not try and find a way out of it.
All and all this was a fun read and I look forward to reading more books by both authors in the future! ( )
