Amara Destroyed by King Malloron, Amara struggles to navigate her new reality. She makes discoveries that could give her the chance to escape her existence, however, when the king makes her another offer she is forced to accept, she finds herself at risk of devastation, in the most brutal, carnal, and deepest of ways. Reign to Ravage is the fifth installment in the Myth of Omega series but the second book in this couple's story. This is a dark, erotic, Omegaverse romance. Cliff-hanger included. Book five is this fantastic Omegaverse series starts almost immediately in the aftermath of its predecessor.
After the shocking finale of the last instalment, I was gagging to continue with this.
It was quickly apparent that Malloron was distraught with what his own actions had brought in relation to Amara and desperately wants to fix his mistake: he also realises that she is it for him and is also his fated mate.
Not that this is holding much weight with Amara as she has now lost the small amount of trust she originally had for Malloron.
Malloron himself is unapologetic in his own behaviour and actual intention and just wants Amara to admit she is his: Amara, of course, is fighting him every step of the way.
I must admit I was getting quite frustrated with Amara’s whiny behaviour and refusal to compromise: Malloron was actually being more open and affectionate here.
I just wanted her to get a grip and be honest with her self about her own internal wants and also just to realise that yeh Malloron is mainly a product of his unusual upbringing and certain conditioning from his father and maybe judge him to a slightly different standard because of it.
His childhood and lack of healthy role models and relationships have left him with a warped moral compass and his way of dealing has always been to manipulate and cajole.
This is his default function and Amara needs to get on board with this if these two are to move forward.
I actually felt a trifle sorry for the king here when he was purring and trying to bring Amara some comfort.
So here we have that much anticipated purring and knotting that I have been eagerly waiting for and all was going swimmingly until everything went to hell in a handbasket.
Didn't see that one coming at all: what a finale.
I really don't know how we are going to recover from this one: a fantastic finish.
This is one series I can hand on heart highly recommend to you.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Reign To Ravage (Myth of Omega, #5).
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
