I read the first book approximately a year ago. We introduced to the Louanne and Jack on the first book of the series. My face got hot while reading some of the steamy passages. I cried as the characters faced some of life's more challenging truths and took new risks. I adore the new extended family Jami Albright has created. These are rich, interesting, and realistic characters. I'd read a sequel about this family. It wouldn't even have to be a romance. As I loved Scarlett's family, I definitively adore Jack's one, they are aware of their flaws, but they try their best not to fail their loved ones even if they made big mistakes. How I was not too fond of Luanne's father, how she tools so long to see through him, but what a little girl would do for her Prince Charming dad. Whatever, don't miss to follow Jack and Luanne journey to forgiveness, truth, and love. "Running With a Sweet Talker" is an excellent addition to the series, and I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next. I enjoyed this. It was kind of an enemies to lovers rom com. So many things happen throughout the story that it was kind of unbelievable, but I was able to look past that and enjoy the banter and watch them fall for each other for real. Comedic moments aside, there were also some serious moments for both Jack and Luanne regarding their family relationships. I loved how they supported each other as they came to terms with their lives to that point. 4.6 stars This was the second book in the series but was a standalone. Some of the characters from the first book made an appearance. I liked this book better than the first. I love that this story was a Mish mash of events on their journey. One event after another happened such as getting robbed, having no money or phone, taking a bus, and seeing family you didn't know you had. It would've overwhelmed anyone but for Luann and Jack it brought them closer. I loved both of these characters on this journey. Not only did they learn about each other but they learned about themselves. Very cute read. Not heavy on steam but that was okay for this book because it was only a side element of the story. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
