Beth is a woman who can achieve any goal if she puts her mind to it.
Pilot Mitch Sawyer grew up a military brat, moving more times than he can remember and working his way up to the top ranks through fifteen years of his own military service. He is ready for something "normal" and less dangerous. One more important assignment and he plans to settle down.
This is a mismatched love story with dangerous and surprising results.
Beth seems like the good girl next door, and I really wanted to like her, when I didn't want to slap her. She just doesn't appreciate everything she has going for her. For the most part she is intelligent. She just has some blind spots in chasing her dreams.
I really like her and Mitch as a couple, but each has their own reasons for not leaping into a relationship. Even when you think the way is cleared, her secret could be a deal breaker!
This clean adventure romance is nicely paced. The action moves forward and kept building my curiosity. I liked the secondary characters too.
Sweet and romantic, not too simple. ( )
