This felt like a real slog. This is kind of the grey sludge of the Horus Heresy. Its not badly written or ludicrous like a few of the other books, but it really doesn't go anywhere or doing anything except tanks. Even the Alpha Legion doesn't save this novel, which in my opinion is its worst crime. Avoid unless you're a completest. ( )
