MURDER AT FEATHERS & FLAIR is the third in the GINGER GOLD MYSTERIES BY LEE STRAUSS. I just happened across this and I am hooked on the series. A nice little cozy mystery set after WWI in England. Ginger, ( Lady Ginger Gold) is the widow and has opened a upper end dress shop called the Feathers and Flair. During her promo gala, the body of a Russian Duchess is found . Great, just what poor Ginger needs, another murder investigation. As I said before, this is a pleasant little cozy mystery and the ending surprised me as I hope it surprises you! A tale that takes us back to the end of WWI, the flapper era, the beginning of working women. Set in London, about 1924, Lady Ginger Gold opens a dress shop that offers one-in-a-kind designs for the aristocracy on the main floor; and upstairs, factory sewn clothes off-the-rack dresses for those who can’t wait or afford designer gowns. When at the opening gala for the shop “Feathers & Flair” a murder occurs. Ginger will put on her detective’s hat to find out who and why. Enjoyed the ambiance of the period, the descriptiveness of the dialogue. It was a step back in time. I will look for more from Lee Strauss. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Espionage, intrigue . . . murder . . . It's 1924 and war widow fashionista Ginger Gold's new Regent Street dress shop, Feathers & Flair, is the talk of the London fashion district attracting aristocrats from Paris to Berlin to Moscow. Ginger is offered her first job as a private detective when her sister-in-law's stage actor friend goes missing, and though the dress shop takes most of her time, Ginger takes the case. But when a Russian grand duchess dies at the shop's official grand opening event, Ginger ignores the missing person to chase a killer. It's a decision she will live to regret.
