Review: Neptune Island by Tony Reed. 08/24/2018

Within this book the author gives the reader plenty of action and adventure with a little of romance, sci-fi, and humor. I think this writer could have a chance if he would pay attention to forming longer descriptive details and editing. However, a writer has to start somewhere and I found the story interesting and knowledgeable with the subject matter.

Lincoln Monk a former cop who wanted a simple life, but sometimes a dream never materializes and plans will change. One day he got a written letter stating a former girlfriend has died under mysterious circumstances and for some reason he feels obligated to find answers. What starts out as a simple investigation for Lincoln turns out to be a deadly game played out dangerously on an Island he once stayed. Going there this time through a deadly tropical storm only prepared him for an encounter with a hard-boiled merciless billionaire Jonathan Kane.

Kane is a man who stops at nothing to protect his deadly technical experiments on an isolated island and that island is called Neptune. When Kane gives a direct order and it is not completed his way, his employee breaths no-more… Lincoln and his small group of nonconformists face the deadly jungle and Kane’s army of mercenaries to discover the secret behind Neptune Island and the loss of his former girlfriend and her tragedy.
