NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER Saddled with a job she hates and a detestable boss she likes even less, Adeline Reynolds could use a break. It doesn't look like she'll get one today. Her service dog, Coco, is alerting her she's about to have an epileptic seizure--and her frustrated blind date has left her to deal on her own. Enter firefighter Dean Christopherson, who escorts her to the nearby fire station, where she can suffer through her ordeal safe from injury and prying eyes. Dean--known as "Crash" to his friends--didn't expect to find The One in a diner during his lunch break, but he's blindsided by the beautiful, brave Adeline. She brings out his every protective instinct--along with the carnal ones. As they get to know each other, Dean's feelings for Adeline grow fast, as does his irritation with her boss, whose behavior is suspicious at best. As much as he wants to protect Adeline from the world, Crash has to tread carefully. His overprotectiveness could push her away...and leave her vulnerable to a man whose obsession has reached the boiling point.… (plus d'informations)

Okay so this review may be unpopular, I love Susan Stoker's work. I love the respect for women ethic and they treat them like glass. I think it's amazing to write so many stories and so many varying series basically about the same thing but be able to make each story different and unique. But I am not a big fan of the 'I am so good looking, I can have hordes of girls if I wanted' attitude that some of her hero's have pre their 'one' although I appreciate there must be a group of women who want a law enforcement/marine for the sake of it.
Dean 'coach' isn't like that he is a dream, but it's Adeline I found annoying.
The research that the author must have done about epilepsy and it's causes treatment was impressive and I liked that even though she had this it wasn't going to stop her living or finding a good guy.
I also get that generally she was a nice person and when she had a turn afterwards she wasn't quite herself but she also had a real chip on her shoulder, maybe there was cause as she had to defend herself due to her episodes frequently but she went off on one a few times with Dean and he is amazing. That's my only complaint. Coco the dog is amazing. ( )

What a lovely addition to this series. Taking a chance and winning big. Such a wonderful story for Adeline and Dean. And so wonderful to see bits and pieces of all their friends too. Looking forward to the next one. ( )
