Megan is trying to smoothly transition from Kansas to New York, and she almost makes it...except that rescuing a child from a near car accident makes her late on her first day. Meg's sunny attitude doesn't bring her through unscathed, but she gets the support she needs from solid sources, and I was hugely invested in her.
This is an adorable story from start to finish. The story flows deftly, weaving her roommate, new friends, and work into a very believable, heartwarming story. The character development is natural and so subtle that I was caught unawares by a twist at the end (twice!). I'm pleased to report that the trials are skillfully wound into her tale, and there are at least 3 happy endings. I'm anxious to see what happens next! ( )
