For a middle book, there was a lot of action. It didn't feel like the typical middle book that exists to get us from book one to book three. So many things mattered. Peter was wonderful. His jealousy was actually rather cute and understandable, although Wendy's choices to spite him at the beginning were frustrating. As a reader, we know better and we know/hope so badly for Peter and Wendy to be end game. Since this is a modern retelling, there isn't the problem of Peter not wanting to grow up, after all. So they can grow up together. And I was never a huge Peter Pan fan, but this series is incredible. I'm loving every bit of it, even when it keeps me on the edge of my seat and I'm screaming for the characters to please. Not. Do. That! It's wonderful. I am already looking forward to rereading it in the future. ( )
