Valentine's Day is magical (or it can be, to some), and in this story, it certainly is. Jack and Alan show that one encounter, three years ago, can be enough to make both of them long for each other. It's an interesting case of "delayed insta-love", since they still don’t really know each other when they meet again in the bank. This story is the highly entertaining and very hot beginning of what promises to be a wonderful relationship.

Jack remembers the guy on his team he briefly hugged three years earlier, and he still regrets not having asked for his number (or something). The next time they meet and shake hands, he is so flustered, he can hardly get a word out. Very cute. Luckily, it doesn’t even matter, because Alan seems to have the same problem.

Alan is clearly interested, but seems to be shy when they start to get physical. Nothing can stop Jack though, and I loved how he handles Alan's "secret". Of course, Alan is beyond happy and proceeds to show his gratitude by giving Jack free reign. Best thing he could have done for both of them.

If you like stories about men with a secret and the partners who overcome those issues, if you enjoy insta-love and all the exuberant emotions and physical hotness that comes with it, and if you're looking for a read filled with passion and the beginning of true love, sprinkled with some Valentine's Day "magic", then you will probably like this short story.
