In my opinion very dated and very weak arguments for the most part. There is very little that is relevant to the argument of the historical Jesus that was not disproved before or after this tome was published. The author dismisses all of the non-traditional scholar/translator/writers in the first section and then goes on to become an apologist for the status quo. Read John Allegro and the others that he dismisses to get the real "alternative" view. (Allegro was one of the handful of original scholars working on the Dead Sea Scrolls and he is dismissed as the "athiest in the group" while Catholic traditionalist who have a reason for hiding the truth are given his full support....he forgets to mention that Allegro was there at the REQUEST of the Vatican because he was the best scholar/translator of the bunch!) This, for me, was a huge yawn! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
