Once a man pledges his honor to his country, that sacrifice is embedded in his soul forever. For years he's trained to fight, kill, and do whatever necessary to protect his country and its freedom, even if it means giving his own life.He becomes more of a machine than human-one that's built to destroy the enemy. When it's time to turn in his weapons, he never forgets the skills he learned. Never forgets the smell of death or feel of a rifle in his hands. The same hands that one day cradle his baby girl and caress the skin of his beautiful wife.If anything or anyone ever tried to steal away the family he has vowed to love and protect, may God have mercy on their soul. What an emotional punch in a short little novella! Holy Moly! The terror is all to real for many people. School shootings have become too common in the USA and Lynn writes a powerful story about her heroes experiencing an American tragedy. The story includes many of her characters, but focuses on the SEALS from the Men of Honor series mostly.
Now, its a short novella so I am not going to tell you everything that happened. But, know that there are bad guys who take over the school and people die. Lynn's characters tackle the feelings of helplessness that all parents endure when something like this happens. Her characters feel it a bit more acutely because they are suppose to be able to defend their families. The story is brief, but gripping and emotional for sure.
If you have enjoyed KC Lynn's books, this is a novella you NEED right now. Seriously, trust me on this, you will want more of the MoH men and their families!
Any of KC Lynn's previous books...then you will probably like Fighting With Honor!
