Nia Rivers knows better than anyone that immortality comes at a terrible cost. After all, she's lost entire centuries-and a past relationship-from her memory. So when she hears the Greek gods have found a way to give eternal life to mortals, she heads to Athens to investigate the rumors of a cult of Demeter. The pace of the book was perfect and kept me interested in the story right from the beginning. Nia has problems with remembering things that occurred in her past and people she has met before. We don’t know why she can’t remember. Nia is also dealing with her breakup with Zane and with Tres who she had a relationship with many years ago who she has met again. We have amusing interactions with her friend Loren while they commiserate over the breakups of their boyfriends while trying to find Demeter’s tablet. We also get to interact with some Greek gods too! Definitely some twists you do not expect. This was a well written story full of action that sets you up for the next book. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series!
