Dillon Keck knew Ashlyn Mayson was drunk when she suggested they get married. He knew he should have taken her back to their hotel room and put her to bed. Instead, he did what he had been craving to do since the moment they met. Claim her as his. Waking up married in Vegas isn't something Ashlyn Mayson ever thought would happen to her. Having Dillon, her boss, a man she thinks is a dick, insist they stay married is absurd, but every time he touches her, she gets lost in him and wonders if maybe they are meant to be together. But someone isn't happy for Dillon and Ashlyn and their new found romance, and they're willing to do anything to keep them apart. Even commit murder.… (plus d'informations)

Holy Alpha

Dillon and Ashlyn have a love to annoy each other relationship and they both think the other doesn’t like them, little do they know that their chemistry and attraction are too intense to be ignored. Dillon sets out to prove his feelings in a very alpha yet unconventional way and to an extent it works. I loved him and his protectiveness. I also loved getting to see other characters from previous books that we love. ( )

I started this book because it came highly recommended and was told this author had a similar style to another author that I really like. In some ways it did but in others, it didn't. I enjoyed this book for the most part but struggled with the passage of time and transitions between scenes. However, there were strong likable characters that kept me involved with the story.

I read this as part of the boxset. ( )

I love this series but i felt the last couple have not been as good. It seemed a bit desperate, the conversations are unrealistic and some of the conversations sound to me like lines that have been done before by other authors.
I usually love married in Vegas .. Oops.
There are some interesting aspects to the story, in previous books we thought Dillon was engaged so Ashlyn feels she has married another woman's man but when he tries to explain this she stops him as just mentioning the other woman makes her furious, this just seemed ridiculous. I understood keeping the explanation back for a while but it would have worked better if there were other reasons why he didn't get to explain. The explanation was good i felt and the woman's take on it is realistic.
I would have liked more confrontation with the ex particularly between Dillion and her but this is covered in the epilogue as a sort of recap on events.
There are funny parts between them and the groundwork is laid for other couples and there are appearances from Jak, her parents, Lily and Cash and her cousins which is good.
There is no BOOM really, not sure if this is because she's a girl but she is even against being with Dillion so i am not sure if we are leaving the BOOM idea though i saw it featured when there were adverts for the book.
So a mixed bag for me but i am still looking forward and will read the next book. ( )
