I read this during the 7th month into my pregnancy. It's a relief to be reading a "story" on giving birth and having a child (I've been reading all the handbooks and manuals and self-help books), and the author wrote beautifully with her usual magical and whimsical style. She turned the story of motherhood into a fairytale while still managing to include the frightful parts like sleepless nights and illnesses and a total change in lifestyle. I loved it.
