Such a beautiful story of love, loss, and trying to move forward again when all you want to do is break. Katie has had a hard go in life and when she thinks things can’t get better she sets off in a journey with a complete stranger and little does she know this sets in motion fate changing her life. Ryan was such a great guy, a straight shooter, hard-worker, and handsome. He saw Katie for who she was and never with pity in his eyes and this made all the difference to her. These two have a chemistry that is a slow burn but there nonetheless and find out when they think they don’t need something like this in their lives. This was an emotional journey for everyone and had my heart aching but then it had me smiling as they found what makes them happy again. ( )

Very good story. This author knows how to deliver the angst. She also makes me think which is part of her allure.

An easy read that would keep you company and make you sympathize for the heroes.

Kate was living an easy quiet life. She had a caring husband that loved her the most, her sweetheart and best friend, and a two-year-old daughter who she adored. The two of them will come close during this trip in ways they would not imagine.

This is a story about second chances in love and life and all around. It deals with the great grief of loosing our loved ones and the difficulty to overcome it. It deals also with great childhood loves, that do not fade throughout time and are regenerated on the suitable time given the space to flourish. ( )

Once I started reading this emotional roller coaster of a story, I couldn't stop. From the very first chapter, I was captivated by the empathy I felt for the characters, drawn in by the realistic portrayal of grief and devastation. The romance was hard won, and I was so happy to see these two characters find happiness with each other after all they had been through. Absolutely fantastic book, in every way. ( )
