Now I have not really revealed too much about this book, and that is for a very good reason! It so freaking amazing! I don't want to spoil it for you. I'm telling you Melissa Foster has knocked it out of the park with this M/M book. But I will pre-war you…if you can't handle hit sex between 2 men! This ain't the book for you!

I cannot even explain just how freaking hot this book is! I have read a lot of M/M books recently, but this book blows all the others out of the water! The plot is simply delicious! And the ending, so freaking beautiful, that I cried.

When it comes to the character, you cant help but love both Tristan and Alex! They are both strong, loving but essentially insecure people, whom have suffered so much is the past, and are trying to work towards a better life, which they manage to find with each other! And their story truly pulls your heartstrings.

When it comes to the writing and plot; it is clear that it's is a Melissa Foster masterpiece! Well researched, written at a steady pace, without overdone fluff! It is simply another divine Melissa Foster story, to fall in love with!

My first book by Ms. Foster, I have to say I am a new fangirl. I want to read every single book this woman as written. Tristan is just the tip of the iceberg for me. This book is part of a series, not having read any of the others, I was not at a loss at all.

Tristan is coming off a bad break up, he has sworn off relationships. He is happy being the bartender, friend and happy guy that everyone thinks he is. Working at his friend’s family bar is what makes him happy, living in the small seaside town with his family keeps him whole.

Alex is the war hero he doesn’t want to be. He is in town to start life over, heal from his war wounds, get over the guilt. He is so regimented that he needs to let go, and start living the life the Army wouldn’t allow him to live.

Together they will face their fears, work their guilt, become best friends and help each other. This is a story of amazing come back from the bottom of where war leaves you, where self-doubt and the constant beat down from previous loves puts you. This is a story of HOPE. ( )

Harborside Nights introduced us to sexy, sensitive Tristan. Tristan has had horrible luck with the men in his life. They manage to hurt & devastate him. After being literally & figuratively screwed by Ian, Tristan declares he's taking a break from men. He's tired of being taken advantage of.

Enter sexy, tormented Alex. While he was laying wounded in a hospital bed, his beloved Grandmother died. She'd been trying to get him to visit for months, even years. Now he's in town to stay & isn't sure how he's going to survive the guilt.

OMG, what imagery! Ms. Foster manages to paint a wonderful picture with her descriptive prose. I never thought I could read a M/M story but I took a chance on this one because I've loved any book I've read from this author. I was curious to see what she'd do with this different genre. Obviously she's a master! I was pulled into the book from the beginning. She did a masterful job of detailing Alex's journey to accepting & forgiving himself for being injured & unable to be there for his grandmother when she died. Tristan's journey of self discovery is just as captivating & well written. Both main characters are strong alpha males who can only relax & show their sensitive sides with close friends & each other. Totally loved it!! ( )

Two beautiful characters, both sensitive, damaged from past traumas and experiences find themselves falling hard for each other. They are both so supportive and considerate to each other's needs even though their passion is overwhelming them. This is a story full of love, hope, understanding and the strength to move on.

Alex arrives in Harborside after his grandmother dies, he is fighting against his own fears, guilt and the deep pain, both mentally and physically, from his traumatic past. Tristan, who was very close to Alex's grandmother, has been so hurt in the past from previous relationships is unsure of making another commitment. Yet fate has a way of bringing these two sensitive souls together and they are instantly attracted to each other, love at first sight, their love helps each other to move on, along with the love and shared fondness they felt for Alex's grandmother.

The story swaps between Tristan's and Alex's thoughts and points of view giving you the whole picture. I loved following their emotional and heart warming story as they grew closer and closer, it was so moving and really touched me. One minute I found myself choked with emotion the next laughing or smiling at their words of love. Their passion was off the scales hot intensifying their love and confirming how they truly felt for each other.

This was my very first male/male romance read, one that was seriously hot too, all I can say is that it fills your heart with joy.

I absolutely loved going back to my Harborside crew of fictional friends, they have such a special bond between them and are always there for each other. I was looking forward to Tristan's story after reading Discovering Delilah where I saw a glimpse of his lovely character. Melissa's writing really brings out the characters soul to the reader so the connection you feel is beautifully deep, there's a softness you feel when reading her books that makes you want to read more and more.

It shows the enormous lengths you can go to change or improve when you have the love and support behind you. ( )
