This shifter story is a bit different then most. The shifters are a bit more wild then in most books. For this reason, this series is fast becoming a favorite of mine.
Diana just wants to go on a date. Anyone that says online dating is safe, is wrong. Diana's sister tells her not to be alone with this person, and Diana should have listened. Now she is in a scary situation. She is injured and a wolf comes to her rescue, well, what she thought was a wolf turned out to be a very sexy man.
Ryker is the Alpha of the Silver Creek pack. The live a very isolated life and have a few strict rules. The first one being, no humans are allowed in the den. Ryker made that rule after an incident a few years ago involving a human woman.
Ryker is out doing rounds in wolf form and comes across a human woman being victimized by a human man. The woman is hurt badly enough that Ryker can't just leave out in the woods. So, he breaks is own rule and takes the woman to the den. He promises his pack that as soon as she is well enough he will take her back to town.
There is an attraction between Diana and Ryker, but true to his word he takes her back to town. It just didn't go how they all thought it would. Now a war is brewing between the pack and the humans in town.
I highly recommend this series.
