![]() Aucun Actuellement, il n'y a pas de discussions au sujet de ce livre. I'll rate this a solid 4, if not 4.5. It's losing a little because it didn't really tie up all the loose ends; I'm assuming there will be at least one more book in the series that I didn't know about. I usually don't like to read a continuing series until it's finished, having learned my lesson from King's Gunslinger series that took forever and was rewritten a bit before he ever finished. I never did finish that series. I liked the first book better than this one. I felt that this one sort of started dragging things out a bit, but it picked up near the end, it seems. Hopefully, the next installment will come out soon, before I lose interest or forget what has happened. Read all my reviews on http://urlphantomhive.booklikes.com I will try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible. It follows straight on the events of the first book and I recommend reading them back to back, even though the most important parts of the first book are mentioned here as well. I was very pleasantly surprised by Into The Light, so my expectations for Away From The Dark were much higher. At first I was slightly taken aback, I couldn't really figure out exactly why though. After a while it was again a very thrilling read with loads of twists and turns. The Light is much more than it seems. The only things I didn't really like was the relationship between Sara and Jacob, it was too much in my opinion. Also, they apparently love going into dangerous situations. But anyways, a very entertaining read! Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Nine months ago, Sara Adams awoke with no memory. The man holding her hand told her she's a member of The Light, a tight-knit religious group led by the terrifying and charismatic Father Gabriel. As a woman in the community of The Light, her duty is to be unquestionably obedient and to submit to the will of her husband. But as Sara's memory starts to return and she remembers her past, she sees that everything she's been told is a lie. The Light is an insidious and dangerous organization, and its corrupting influence reaches well beyond the confines of the remote campus where Sara is being held. With everything at stake, Sara struggles to sort out her true memories from her indoctrination. The desire to escape consumes her, but who can she trust? And which other followers of The Light were forced into this life, brainwashed to believe they belonged? The more she remembers, the more it becomes clear that Jacob, the man who calls himself her husband, is keeping shattering secrets of his own. But Sara cannot flee alone, leaving innocents behind. She must fight to extinguish The Light. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

This book has almost gotten me fired a few times this week. It is so well written that you won’t be able to put it down and you won’t want to. Aleatha Romig is flawless in her writing, she makes her readers go through every heartbreak every bit of agony along with her Characters. Away from the dark picks up right where Into The Light left off, and you start the journey with Sara Jacob Dylan and Stella. If you have read the first part, the best way I can explain it is the first book is the frame of a jigsaw puzzle where you are left to question everything and Away from the dark is all the missing pieces.
As Sara's memories come back to her, she is faced with the grim reality of her situation. She is fully aware of the evil that surrounds her, but powerless to stop it. Trying to save herself only lands her in greater danger, forcing her to rely upon the very man that she's trying to escape. Is the Man known as Jacob someone she should trust or someone she should run from?
As the story unfolds you see that these two broken characters find peace and acceptance in each other. Once all the twists and turns are smoothed out you see that they are falling in love. These two characters are so well constructed that you want them to succeed or fail but you want them to do it together. After reading this book I am left with so many emotions the strongest of those being is to tell you to go out and get it ASAP! You will find a character to cry for, want to hug, relate to, and even PUNCH!
I am a fan through and through with this series and hope to see at least one more book if not more!
