The rhyming and the cadence are spot on, the sound of “chick” just elevates the flow. This would be a laugh riot at story time. The book is saying that “chicks” or girls can do anything, and yes we can. ( ) A young dragonling named Little Wing is determined to fly in this sweetly fantastic reassurance tale, telling himself and his mother that a dragon never gives up. After many unsuccessful attempts, he finally gets airborne, only to find himself carried far from home by the wind. How will he ever find his way back...? This picture-book debut from Calista Brill offers an engaging re-imagining of the classic reassurance tale, in which a youngster ventures out into the world, seemingly on his own, only to find that his mother or father is there to help when trouble arises. The artwork, done in pencil, watercolor and Photoshop, is colorful and appealing, adding to the fun. Recommended to anyone looking for lighthearted dragon stories for younger children, or for newer reassurance tales. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
