This book is a great introduction to the iconic artwork of H.R. Giger. While the short text essays are not particularly interesting (or even very relevant towards providing an overview of the artist and his work), the point of this collection is to highlight a cross-section of the art itself, and the book certainly succeeds in that regard. Giger has done quite a bit more than the film design work for which he is best known, and this book does a good job of highlighting the different phases of his long career with high-quality color images to match. Auch dieses Bändlein ist etwas für den Leser der wenig Zeit hat oder den Künstler dasserstemal kennen lernen will. Ich selber würde aber sagen dass man ruhig direkt zu den weiteren Wercken über gehen kann. Dieser Künstler wird immer einer der umstritesten bleiben. ( )
