Eliana Sawyer's life was rocked from its foundation twice in as many years. She risked her heart and had it shattered into a thousand pieces when Malik left her with no warning. While she'd normally raise her chin and ignore the pain, she can't forget what he gave her before he disappeared from her life. Malik Ward is a prince amongst the lion shifters and knows that one day he will have to take a mate. Only, his people can never mate with humans. Under the mistaken impression that Eliana was only human, he forced himself to leave before they'd crossed a line and he broke his vow to his people. Now that he knows the truth about Eliana, however, it will take more than groveling to win back the one woman fated to be his. While Eliana and Malik embark on a new sensuous path that might lead to disaster, the realms aren't ready to allow the final lightning-struck human to be enveloped into their fold. The couple will have to combat those plotting against them, as well as the broken promises and heated emotions they share.… (plus d'informations)

"3 out of 5 stars!! This is the FINAL novel from Ms. Ryan’s Dante's Circle Series. Here we follow Eliana and Malik as they come to terms with their future, find out more about Eliana’s true self, and take on the reins of parenthood while Malik takes on his new role of leader of his pride. However, not everyone is in favor of Malik ruling over them and will stop at nothing to take him down. What will Eliana have to do to keep her new family together forever? Will the sacrifice be worth it?

This novel was very cute! Yet, while I appreciated the updates that happened for all of Eliana’s friends/family at the beginning and end of this novel, I found the first 30% of this novel hard to read through. I found it difficult mostly because, while I liked Eliana and Malik together as a couple..."

I'm going to let you in on a secret. Before Prowled Darkness (not a fan of the title) I haven't read any of the Dante's Circle books.

Shocking right!!!

What can I say, I read so much that somethings good authors take time to move into the rotation. I really glad that I was able to read Prowled Darkness. I loved the characters and the whole idea of the story line. I did feel the story was just a little bit short but that's a personal preference.

I'm glad the author didn't drag out any issues between Malik and Eliana. Instead she got right to their story. Which made for better moments between them.

The only problem I have with this story I really hate that I didn't read the others first. I have a feeling I would have enjoyed them. I'm going to have to try and read the whole series.

This is a good, fast paced story that you'll really enjoy.

Carrie Ann Ryan’s Prowled Darkness is an excellent conclusion to the Dante's Circle Series. Lion shifter and next in line for the throne, Malik Ward, left the woman he loved thinking she was human, and that they were unable to be together. Eliana Sawyer was lightning-struck, a human hit by lightning, which will trigger her dormant supernatural DNA once claimed by her mate. The man she loves and thought was human left her before she could tell him that she was pregnant. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adults.

Prowled Darkness begins with Malik’s return to Dante’s circle after discovering that Eliana is lightning-struck. From the first page, the story is attention-grabbing and exciting. I love how Eliana’s friends and their mates all looked out for her when she was on her own. They are very protective of her and do not want to see her hurt. I enjoyed the plot. It moved fast and was gripping. A lot of things happened in a short amount of time. I love which supernatural being Eliana winded up being. It was very appropriate. I like Malik. He was in a difficult position. The two truly love each other and are a great couple. Malik’s aunt and uncle make good antagonist. They want the throne that rightfully belongs to Malik. I enjoyed the ending. It was smart to have the last scene at Dante’s Circle. It concluded the series well.
