I felt that I was able to connect with the characters and feel like I was a part of the story. I would highly suggest it! :) ( )Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This is the first book I’ve read by Kate Rose Guest.I really enjoyed the way the author wrote about each of the characters and their pasts. In the beginning it took me a while to figure out how everyone new each other and what role they played in the story. Other than that I enjoyed the book. She gave good descriptions of people and places featured throughout the book. The characters were uniquely written and the book provided a plethora of emotions and situations making it all the more interesting. I read part 3 in the Entanglement Series, Chasing Chaos, by Katie Rose Guest Pryal, without having read the first 2 titles. It didn't impact the ease to get into the story of Daphne Saito and her friends and families. Daphne is a stunning screenwriter who just ended a relationship with her longtime boyfriend, Dan. In the course of only five days, a one-night stand, a role as the wedding planner for Greta, and guardian angel to rescue her friend Carrie leave Daphne without a dull moment. The rest searched for is not on the horizon.Meet Miranda George who, just like Greta's father turns into the wedding party late. Learn to know the fate of a drugs addict and Dan. It seems that everywhere Daphne comes, chaos will result. Is it intentional or coincidental? In all honesty, adds dating promiscuous women to a little more chaos? The novel has an abundance of short sentences and conversational phrases. As a reader, it is easy to read, but without room to fantasize or let your thoughts wander. Chasing Chaos can be consumed on its own, although a sequel into these unbalanced lives is left open. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This is the second book in the Entanglement series. However you do not have to read the first book to enjoy this one. The protagonist of the story, Daphne, believes she is cursed. Bad things happen to those around her. However her best friend, Greta, is getting married and Daphne only has a few days to plan the wedding. At the same time she has to deal with an ex-boyfriend, an newly arrived friend, and a potential new romance when tragedy strikes. This story is full of romance, friendship, some suspense, and even tragedy. Overall a great read if you are looking for a book to take your mind off everyday stress. I was given it for an honest review and very pleased to have had the opportunity. I wish I had known about her before and had the chance to read Entanglement prior to this as it may have given me a little more insight on the characters.I really enjoyed the way the author wrote about each of the characters and there where quite a few. But in the beginning it took me a while to catch up on who was who and how they all fit in with each. Once I got that, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The setting was in L.A. and she gave a great description of all the places and characters throughout the book. Each character with beautiful written with their own personality and the book was filled with laughter, love, romance and mystery. All the things that makes a great book. This may have been my first by the author but won’t be my last. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
"Pryal pierces L.A.'s film industry veneer to find complex and relatable characters and then winches the ties between them, pulling the reader right into the fray. The result is as psychologically astute as it is engaging." --Kathryn Craft, award-winning author of The Far End of Happy "Pryal deftly portrays relationships that are under the magnifying glass, obsessive and dysfunctional, while still capturing the complexity and love." --Kate Moretti, New York Times bestselling author In this suspenseful follow-up to Entanglement, love, friendship, and betrayal create chaos in glamorous, yet often vicious, Hollywood. Daphne Saito is a beautiful and talented Hollywood screenwriter with a seemingly perfect life. Yet her troubled past threatens to unleash chaos at any moment. Daphne has wandered from one meaningless relationship to the next, afraid to love. Harm has always come to those around her. While planning the Hollywood wedding of her best friend, she meets Marlon and lets her guard down. Daphne feels hope for the first time in years. But on the night of the wedding, an unstable ex-boyfriend plans revenge and an enigmatic woman from Daphne's past arrives with a vendetta of her own. Danger is on the horizon for those close to Daphne--and for her. "Poignant and thoroughly entertaining." --Kristy Woodson Harvey, author of Lies and Other Acts of Love Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
