#1 Amazon best-selling and award-winning author Tina Ann Forkner "delivers a fairytale" (Publisher's Weekly) in this sweet romance. A happily ever after romance, Nashville style... Small-town girl Gillian Heart moved to Nashville to get a record deal, not end up on some playboy's arm. She knows she shouldn't get too personal with music agent Will Adams, who has broken plenty of hearts in this city. But Will is different around her, and neither of them can deny the spark. As the spark turns to love and Gillian's career starts to take off, she believes her Nashville dream is finally coming true. Until Will makes a move that brings back memories of the father who abandoned her and puts all she's built in jeopardy. Can Gillian learn to trust Will-and herself-and let her country music dream take flight? Or will the comfort of life in her hometown pull her back? "I loved this sweet love story and the look inside the music industry where sometimes dreams do come true." ~ Kaira Rouda, USA Today best-selling author Author Interview What was your inspiration for Nashville by Heart? My sister moved to Nashville when she was twenty something. She worked in the music industry, met her true love, and fell in love with Tennessee. She let me sit in on music recordings and took me to the best music spots in Nashville. A few years ago, we brainstormed the idea of romance novels set in Nashville featuring a Southern girl as the lead. What is the novel's steam factor: sweet romance, sexy romance, or hot & steamy romance? As a women's fiction author, I'm afraid I'm never going to be considered hot & steamy except by my husband. Nashville by Heart is a love story that falls somewhere in the low-to-medium heat category. How does setting play into this Southern romance? Nashville is this mecca for country music where you can order grits & fried chicken and visit antebellum homes while also enjoying a fast-paced urban lifestyle. At night, the down-home feel and the liveliness of show business converge, and that's what my heroine loves about Nashville. But it also overwhelms her, and she gets homesick for the small town where her roots run deep. She's trying to make it as a female musician, a girl with a guitar, but doesn't want to lose who she is. Do you believe in happily ever after? Of course! That's why romance fiction is fun to read. We can focus on the romantic side of the relationship, and after the end we feel like the couple will be happy. It reminds us that we can find forever love and be happy too. How is Nashville by Heart different from your other books? I mainly write women's fiction, and readers of The Real Thing and Waking Up Joy enjoy the drama and struggles of the characters I've created. Nashville by Heart is different-it's a fairy tale romance that takes place in the bustling music scene of Nashville. I'm hoping that romance readers who like happily ever after stories will enjoy it!… (plus d'informations)

This is the first time that I’ve read Tina Ann Forkner but it definitely won’t be the last. Nashville by Heart is a standalone novel that shows that love can be unexpected, a little inconvenient but that it makes your dreams coming true be all the sweeter.

And sweet is definitely the key word for this story. It’s just adorable.

Gillian is a small town girl and while she’s written as a little naive in some ways - the iconic small town girl comes to the big, bad city - she’s also got a bit of sass about her and a whole lot of drive to go after her dream. You can’t help but like her and root for her.

Will was similarly easy to like. Although he was more worldly than Gillian, I didn’t see much evidence of his supposed playboy lifestyle. He was just a little too sweet himself to truly feel like he was this bad boy - reformed or otherwise. But as I say, he was easy to like.

The story had two main elements that blended together seamlessly - Gillian’s drive for stardom and the budding relationship between Gillian and Will. The former was interesting and, based on what I’ve read about the inspiration for this book, an accurate portrayal. I have to admit that I didn’t understand Will’s position in the music scene, though. We were told he was a big-shot agent but his own internal monologues showed he was struggling. Not important to the story but it did confuse me.

Gillian and Will are a cute couple and I felt their attraction to each other. While the pair kiss and a little more, this is definitely a clean, behind the bedroom doors kind of read.

The writing was smooth and the story flowed nicely - Ms Forkner really does have a flair for storytelling. The story was a slow meander through the time Gillian and Will meet to their happily ever after, rather than a fast paced romp. While it does suffer at times for the pace, I did enjoy the ride.

A sweet tale with likeable characters - this is definitely one to read in the shade on a hot, lazy afternoon. 3 stars. ( )

Good pace, good characters, nothing mind blowing

This is a tidy little story which is lovely if you like tidy little stories of living happily ever after. There are no shock, twists or sudden upsets. I liked this as I was expecting that from other reviews and it delivered a well written clear novel. I found the characters plausible and engaging. There were a bit simplistic but it suited the style well. This is not for the reader looking to be challenged but if you want some nice fluff to pick up and read in small breaks its ideal ( )

It is a story of songwriter and country music singer Gillian Heart who moves to Nashville to make her dreams of a career as a country singer come true. It is a heart-warming story that shows dreams do come true if we give them a chance. Gillian also meets a love of her life, a man who makes her life be like a fairytale.

I really enjoyed the story although I know nothing about country music since it’s not popular in Europe. I think it was well written and the action was well paced. I’d recommend it.

I received a digital copy of this book via Early Reviews on LibraryThing in an exchange for an honest review. ( )
