I wanted to like this, I really did, but everything just fell flat for me. For one, I like my strong female leads but just because you say you are strong and others say you are, doesn’t actually make it true!!!! And that’s how Eve felt to me. In fact at points I found her character downright annoying with how inept and damsel-in-distressy she came across. And every relationship, including friendships, felt so contrived with how strong they became in a short time, just ugh. The story itself was an interesting one but too slow and felt like nothing happened even when stuff was happening, up till the end which happened so fast I didn’t fully follow what was happening. It also felt similar to JLA’s Harbinger series, which I know came later then this book but JLA just did such a better job with it so far. I know its a series and this is the intro book so I may give the second one a shot at some point to see if it gets better but ya not a fan so far. Great start Really intrigued by the revelation series, this book was a great start, Revelation built a world that's very easy to imagine , very likable characters, will be very interesting seeing where this tale is going , Adored Asher ( even when early on he was being a douche to Eve ) so wish he would stop running hot and cold on her, the poor girl must be getting whiplash with all the mixed messages. All the secondary characters were fab the brothers, aria, Abby and kenna, I even was slightly captivated by the mysterious gage, wonder what his deal is, and oh what a cliffhanger looking forward to book 2 . This popped up as a suggested read and I started it without knowing anything about it. I really enjoyed this book! It had a slight Twilight feel to it, I think mainly because of the character dynamics, or maybe it had the dynamics I wanted more of from Twilight. I'm not sure....might be time to pick those back up. Anyways, I found Eve to be extremely spirited and enjoyed reading her journey, although by the end I haven't decided if I like how things are transitioning and I'm curious to see if there is another twist that hasn't been brought up yet. I did fly through this book so it's an easy read and worth picking up. To be honest, I'm glad I didn't look at the cover in too much detail until reviewing because that probably would have turned me off of reading it. Now onto the next book! aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Dark and enigmatic, Gage Gallagher may be even more dangerous to Eve than the demonic army that hunts her. Glaringly obvious cliches all the way.
Oh and I don't want to read "traiterous body" ever again. ( )
