Two ducks who inexplicably have a dinosaur brother spend the summer getting into messy fun. When it's time to take a bath, the two ducks don't think Mama's suggestions about soap and scrubbing sound like fun. But when Spike shows off how fun the soapy bubbles can be, Feather and Flap are ready to join in the bathtime shenanigans!

This is a simple early reader that will appeal to those just beginning to read. The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. I like the idea of the ducks having a dinosaur as part of the family, as this could easily be an adoption story, but there is no reason given for the dinosaur being there; perhaps this is explored in the first title in the series but I am not certain.

The illustrations are colorful and lively. They provide few details outside of the text, but that is fitting for a book for beginning readers. ( )

Duck, Duck, Dinosaur Bubble Blast is an beginning readers book with colorful pictures. It tells of the story of two brother ducks who dislike bath time and a dinosaur brother who loves bath times. As the mother duck tries to convince to the baby ducks to get in the bath, the dinosaur brother takes the bath. The duck brothers decline into the very end when the dinosaur brother is playing with the bubbles. The duck brother finally decide that bubbles are fun and agree to take a bath. ( )
