Now I know this is where I belong. As a group of friends recounts the day s adventures, Maximillian, a lonely black and white snake, accuses them of leaving him out. Angrily, he leaves for Red Mountain, hoping to find a place where he will fit in. Will Maximillian return? Will everyone find a way to enjoy each other s company? Follow Grandfather, Marcus, and the others as they navigate through nature s beauty and the rewards of friendships both old and new. Where I Belong is a multi-generational story of acceptance and camaraderie. In this beautifully illustrated tale by the author and illustrator of such favorites as Only One You and Love You When, we learn that by working together, we can find common interests. We can choose happiness over conflict. Learn more about Linda at www.lindakranz.com"… (plus d'informations)

This book uses brightly, psychedelic painted snakes to send the message about acceptance and getting along with one another. Grandfather snake is the one who leads the group and is full of wisdom. The story is rather simplistic and is not fleshed out. Maximillian feels left out and heads off to Red Mountain to find friends. Marcus, one of the other snakes tells us what he did not like about Red Mountain when he was there and why he left. Suddenly Maximillian returns and everyone gets along. We do not know what happened when he went there, what he found or why he returned. The pictures will grab a child`s attention, but the story will not hold it.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. ( )
