The book cover calls Berti one of the best writers in the Spanish language. I don't see it. Maybe I missed something, but it felt pretty simplistic to me. A basic hidden identity story. AND, the translation had a lot of bloopers in it. I did not have the Spanish version to compare to, but in lots of places the way the English came out was not grammatically correct. Specifically, numerous instances of "whom" where it should have been "who". How does an editor let that go by? There were other errors in the English as well, but I can't think of other examples at the moment. I don't recommend this. ( )
