This newest volume in the ‘Seal it with a Kink’ series offers the same kind of hot BDSM action between two men in a loving relationship as some of the previous instalments, but it adds a twist I really like. Greg doesn’t submit easily, and makes Brody fight for every inch. Luckily, Brody is not just up to the task, but also enjoys the fight almost as much as the result of having Greg under his control and in his care. Both men need to play their part to feel complete, and I found watching them get there deeply moving. Somehow the fact their physical relationship isn’t easy makes the eventual result so much more rewarding.

Greg, a strong guy and competent police detective, doesn’t like to submit. It’s the idea of submission he struggles with, based on who he thinks a tough guy should be. It makes him fight Brody with everything in him, even though he knows he needs to give in and forget. It’s the only way for him to deal with the stress his job throws at him day in and day out. Deep-down Greg can (and does) admit he likes what Brody does to him, even that he needs it, but that inner voice always has to fight its way to the surface of his consciousness every time he and Brody struggle for their positions in the “game” they play together.

Brody knows exactly what Greg needs, and is happy to give it to him. I think he enjoys the journey as much as the end result, but above all, he clearly loves Greg deeply and will do anything to help his stressed-out lover and partner relax. He is creative, full of support when Greg is ready to hear and accept his words, and all his ideas are pretty wicked. I’m sure that Greg will never get bored as long as Master Brody is in charge!

If you like men with complicated needs where not everything is as easy as you might think, if you enjoy a bit of a struggle and power play while knowing the partners love and respect each other, and if you're looking for a hot read with lots of fighting, growling, and “punishments”, then you will probably like this short story.
