Sahira is single mother who just got out of an abusive marriage. She takes liking for a motherless girl Natasha. Natasha's father - Hussain is insanely rich but typically has has no time for her. Both Sahira and Hussain have a baggage from past which initially prevents them from pursuing normal romantic relationships. The story is set in Pakistan and beautifully highlights the culture.
The writer has done a good job in expressing emotions. Initially Hussain and Sahira are poles apart. Eventually they fall for each other - the process of falling for each other has been so beautifully portrayed that it seems almost realistic.
The characterization deserves a special mention. Given the book is just about 95 pages, the writer has managed to portray subtle qualities of protagonists with ease. For instance, Sahira is a modern woman bound by her culture. That is not an easy base for characterization in a such a short story.
The writer thankfully managed to circumvent that sexual tension that normally is witnessed in this kind of a story.
My only complaint would be the lack of an epilogue. This genre of a story makes more sense with a "Lived Happily Ever After" epilogue.
To Sum it up, the book is a short and perfect read for that bright summer day! ( )
