The book has great ideas. The writing wasn't magnificent but if you just incorporate the ideas, it would still improve and increase your life!

I can totally understand why many people rate it 4-stars. Because the chapters were short and yet there were a lot of sentences which were hard to read - double negatives, researchers' conclusion. Plus, book is quite short and some sub-topics were quite repetitive. (The book ends quite abruptly at page 160 and the rest are questions to guide you along and references materials to read.)

However, if you get beyond all these, the book does offer great insights and ideas and imo, just the insights alone is worth its weight in gold.

As with many of such titles, this book is just an article writ large. That said, it was a useful reminder of the importance of putting on one's own oxygen mask before assisting others. ( )
