A sweet little tale, but it is the illustration that really shines through in this perfect for Mother's Day book! ( ) Beautiful art book with lovingly detailed pictures of a little girl in dreamland. So gratifying to see such talent continue for a second generation, as her father Glen Keane was also one of Disney's better animators as well. (See http://theartofglenkeane.blogspot.com/ for more.) A journey to the sky and back in search of the perfect gift. In this story about finding unexpected inspiration and giving from the heart, Claire Keane invites readers to ride on the wind, wherever it leads. My daughter, who volunteers in our library's Youth Services department, saw Once Upon a Cloud come in there one day, read it, then brought it home for me to read. Given the book's premise - Celeste is trying to find the perfect gift for her mum - I was more than a little touched my sixteen-year-old daughter thought of me when she read the story. Not only is the "perfect gift" powerful in its simplicity, but the artwork of Celeste's search is magical. Exactly what I love with blues, pinks, purples, and yellows in warm, fluffy tones which personified the wind, stars, moon and sun in a way I'm sure children will get lost in for hours. I know I did, and at 37 I'm hardly a child. ;) 5 stars This book is about a young girl that tries to find a present for her mother's birthday. Through the power of imagination, she gets wisked away by the wind and sees the sun, moon and stars. And finds the perfect gift for her mother. Message: Finding the right gift for someone you love, requires putting your heart and soul into it. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

While thinking very hard about the perfect gift for her mother just before she falls asleep, Celeste is blown way up into the sky by the Wind, where she meets the Stars, the Moon, and the Sun, and when she awakens she finds exactly what she sought. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
