Knight in Shining Cowboy Boots was written for the Goodreads M/M Romance Group’s Love’s Landscapes event. The author states that this prompt turned into a 100k novel and wouldn’t be in time for the event. She wrote Tyler’s pov for the event and the story will be continued later and written from Corrigan’s pov. This is told in third person through the eyes of Tyler Campden.

Tyler is working at Summerland Ranch when his boss Carlos Fuega asks his help in the barn. It turns out the work isn’t ranch work. Carlos tempts Tyler with money to make a porn movie with Kyle, another cowboy. Tyler detests both Kyle and Carlos but he desperately wants the money. He’s rescued by a drag queen cowboy, Corrigan Summers who Tyler doesn’t like all that much either, but he finds out during their little scene that there’s more to Corrigan than meets the eye. Tyler may end up making a friend and having a summer fling at the same time.

I don’t know why I got the feeling that Corrigan might be an undercover cop investigating Carlos and his filming, or possibly Corrigan is trans. He does tell Tyler he’s an anomaly.

This story is almost like a long book blurb or prologue, so I’m glad the author has decided to make it longer. Since we don’t get much info with this story I give it 3 Stars
