It's intense, mysterious and captivating. I knew this was a 30 page story but I just wanted to keep reading and reading. This is one of those stories that catch your attention from the beginning. I couldn't put my kindle down until I finished. It's well written, great characters. I kindly received a copy of "Beneath" by H. B. Moore in exchange for an honest review. 4 stars Beneath is a short novel that gives you a look about Omar Zagouri and Chalice Stratford. It leaves you wanting to know more about Omar. Chalice Stratford just started at the museum when the museum was robbed. Chalice is a woman with secrets. She has a past that I want to know more about to. I wish this was a longer story, but it grabs your attention. It has mystery, drama and characters that I like. Finding Sheba is another story about Omar Zagouri. I went back after reading this to rereading Finding Sheba because I want more. The setting is Middle East. I was given Beneath by author so that I can give a honest review of Beneath. Chalice Stratford has undergone a trauma that has left her scarred physically and mentally. She has been placed as a museum docent in France as part of witness protection. Her very first day on the job, a robbery takes place and she is taken hostage. Surprisingly, the situation does not bother Chalice all that much and the man behind the heist is very different than she would suspect. For a short story, this had a lot of character development and sense of place. It definitely left me wanting to know more about both Chalice and Omar's histories. The story was fast-paced and took off right from the start. I was a little surprised that romance was introduced so quickly, but from their characters, it was not surprising. Now, I really want to check out the next book, Finding Sheba. This book was received for free in return for an honest review. Beneath is a quick action packed very short read. We experience a beginning first day of work of a docent Anna Boucher, or that is her name now. Then before we know it, masked men appear, and all that I could think was they were there for Anna. We move from one action to another, and she going off with a criminal? Where is she headed? About all I can say about this griping story, and a real page-turner, is that it is way to short. I received this book through I Am A Reader, Not A Writer, and was not required to give a positive review. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

This is an incredibly short story and I want to know more!! It was fast paced and high speed and then it's over. It was a very good read though but I have so many unanswered questions. I think I will have to check out other books about Omar Zagouri so I can find out more about him and Anna. ( )
