Idea generation or ideation is necessary to concert inspiration, random thoughts or daydreaming into the trial and error process that leads to innovation. Indie author and illustrator Jen Fraser helps her audience with a lot of simple tips to boost ideation. Everyone's a Genius is about open mindedness, the truths found in sound bytes and famous quotes, the art of Google image searches and asking questions. Eleven short chapters, but countless efforts to help you cross your (mental) boundaries. Einstein's IQ never was measured, Steve Jobs was a drop out, so being a genius is not depending on graduating or a superb intelligence. Though New York Times best selling author Piers Anthony in his preface to the book praises its uniqueness, it's merely a compilation of motivational thoughts, psychological experiments and techniques found in many other contemporary books on decision making, innovation, writing, and leadership.
Jen's honest, funny and personal touch stimulates re-thinking possibilities, dreaming bigger and taking action. ( )

We all know how important creativity is. A brilliant idea can change your life or make you rich. Even better, it can do both. But, the question is: how do we find it? For some of us it seems difficult enough to find one amazing idea that would change at least a couple of things which don’t work well in our lives, so how many people are able to come up with more brilliant ideas that can also influence the ones around them? Jen Fraser, the author of “Everyone’s a Genius: Simple Tips to Boost Your Brilliance Now”, says that each and every one of us has this extraordinary ability. We are born creative, intelligent, and capable of wonderful ideas. All we need to do is learn how to use our gifts.

A truly inspiring Foreword written by award-winning author Piers Anthony opens Jen Fraser’s book. He talks about the supposed connection between IQ and genius, and reminds readers that some of the most successful businessmen and entrepreneurs don’t even have degrees. Moreover, Albert Einstein himself failed some exams, and his IQ was never tested. So, what exactly makes someone a genius? Piers Anthony is in complete agreement with Jen Fraser when she says that curiosity triggers the best ideas. The secret is to keep an open mind, welcome new experiences, believe that nothing is impossible, and never stop asking questions. Creativity comes when we try to find answers and solutions to those questions, and even if some of them will prove to be erroneous, undoubtedly, we will come up with at least one brilliant idea that can change everything.

“Everyone’s a Genius: Simple Tips to Boost Your Brilliance Now” is structured in a simple, yet compelling way. There are eleven chapters that guide readers and help them discover the creativity within them and the possibilities around them. Here and there, the author introduces motivational quotes attributed to famous people who have been successful in their own ways. The book also contains amazing illustrations that immediately draw the readers’ attention and help them better understand the points the author makes in each chapter. In writing her book, Jen Fraser has opted for a combination of motivational techniques, interactive games, and honest, direct questions that force readers to analyze their thinking and behavior, and figure out what they are doing wrong.

The author recommends herself as an Ideation Expert, the term “ideation” being the creative process of generating, developing, and communicating new ideas. Her main goal is to teach people how to find new solutions and come up with innovative ideas that are worth putting into practice. It’s not all about daydreaming and planning, but it’s also about acting once you’ve discovered a way of improving your or someone else’s existence.

“Everyone’s a Genius: Simple Tips to Boost Your Brilliance Now” is a must-read for anyone, regardless of age or education. It’s truly one of those books that can change lives.
