Miranda has been waiting for her betrothed to acknowledge her but he does not know she exists. At a masked ball he asks her out to the garden and when in the maze where she introduces herself to him, he has no recognition or knowledge of her so she punches him. With that she memorable. When Andrew, Lord Masterson, her betrothed, figures he will have take matters into his hands through Madame Eve, little does either know she will set them up. It does not start out well.

I enjoyed this story. Miranda is feisty and bold even with all the lessons she has been taught on how to be a good wife and countess to Andrew. He tells her that what she has been taught is not what he wants and he shows her. He also realizes what has happened that he had no idea about the contract. I love the two of them together. He's teaching and she's overcoming her shock of what lovers do with each other. I liked his protection of her and her care of him. I liked that he knows he cannot get away with anything or she'll hurt him. I had fun watching the two of them together. A perfect read for a summer night. ( )
