Very different in that there is an active involvement of dogs, one particularly who is trained to search for drugs Receiving attention after intercepting drug deals with his canine assistants, K9 search and rescue trainer Ryder Creed teams up with FBI profiler Maggie O'Dell to stop a human smuggling operation and halt a series of brutal murders. The story of the FBI trying to stop a drug cartel from trafficking drugs and kids isn’t unusual. But Ryder Creed and his search dogs are. I really enjoyed how they worked and what Ryder had trained them to do. I also enjoyed the disabled army veterans who helped Creed. Creed and O’Dell are likeable characters that do their job well. There were some details about torture that I didn’t like. The ending was a bit of a stretch but still had me smiling. I plan to read more in this series. A great thriller involving Ryder Creed, ex-marine and K( rescue dog trainer, who gets involved with a drug mule and Colombian drug cartel. From Florida to DC the cartel is one Maggie O'Dell has already come into contact with and she joins Creed in trying to stop the cartel from killing again, especially since Creed is one of their targets. I really enjoyed Creeds dogs, rescues that he trained into highly effective detection dogs who play a pivotal role in getting Creed into trouble but also getting him out of it. I liked the fast paced action which kept me turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next and how the supporting characters were worked into Creed's story and the plot of this novel. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
"Ryder Creed and his dogs have been making national headlines. They've intercepted several major drug stashes being smuggled through Atlanta's airport. But their newfound celebrity has also garnered some unwanted attention. When Creed and one of his dogs are called in to search a commercial fishing vessel, they discover a secret compartment. But the Colombian cartels' latest shipment isn't drugs. This time, its cargo is human. To make matters worse, Creed helps one of the cartel's drug mules escape--a fourteen-year-old girl who reminds him of his younger sister who disappeared fifteen years ago. Meanwhile, FBI agent Maggie O'Dell is investigating a series of murders--the victims tortured, killed, and dumped in the Potomac River. She suspects it's the work of a cunning and brutal assassin, but her politically motivated boss has been putting up roadblocks. By the time she uncovers a hit list with Creed's name on it, it might be too late. The cartel has already sent someone to destroy Creed and everyone close to him. But Creed and his dogs have a few surprises in store on their compound in Florida. Will it be enough to stop a ruthless cartel determined to remove the thorn in its side once and for all?" -- Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
