Cami is one of my MOST FAVORITE SUSPENSE authors!

She has a WONDERFUL way of describing a scene that will leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more!

This book is filled with action and suspense and a touch or romance...I SO LOVED IT!

"Every stage actress wants fans,
but what happens when one goes too far?"

Emmy is doing exactly what she wants to be doing!

She has a husband, a house on the beach, and is acting at the local theater.

So why is she attracted to the good-looking man at the gym...

And then to have him show up at the theater just after the threatening notes do?

It is all so unsettling...

AND THEN...

Emmy's life turns into a nightmare with the brutal murder of her husband.

Does she have a stalker?
Is it the man from the gym?

A year goes by and nothing is found out and the threatening letters stop...

THAT IS UNTIL...

Josh keeps turning up in her life.

"If Emmy allows another man to get too close, it might not just her heart she puts at risk, it might be her life."

Emmy and Grayson moved to the charmingly quaint community in Oregon. It was a relaxing reprieve from the hectic life of Los Angeles, California and from the constant interference of Aunt Julina. Everything seemed nearly perfect except an almost too comfortable marriage and a mysterious admirer... one who is stalking Emmy.

The mysterious admirer is beyond mysterious... he is deadly! Further complications arise by the overwhelming attraction to a local Fireman. Emmy must not allow anyone into her life, especially not the Fireman!
This is a bitter-sweet mystery/romance. The reader is kept guessing "who did it?" to the very end of the story.

The novel is written very well, captivating the reader's interest with each page. The blurb the author gives referring to the stage curtains makes the title more relevant yet was not the best choice in my opinion... the story had little to do with stage curtains and shadows combined.
The characters were very endearing and realistic. Background scenes were portrayed well and easily visualized.

My review of this book offers a Four and a Half Stars rating.
