If you have been following my journey through romance novels, then you will know how much I have enjoyed Melissa Foster’s books. Read, Write, Love is another beautiful addition to the “Love In Bloom” series. I easily connected with Leanna & Kurt, they are such total opposites. I was able to reminisce in how opposite my husband and I are, and how everything is so much more intense because of it. In this type of relationship the insecurities and faults seem to be made up by the other, and vice-versa. This is exactly how I see Leanna & Kurt-they complete each other to perfection. Whether you read this as a stand alone or start the journey from the very beginning, you will definitely not be disappointed! I love seeing past characters pop up in later books, each couple and/or person adds so much to the overall plot. The characters are developed and become like family, being able to read these is like cracking open an old family diary. Where all personalities, secrets, and glimpses into ones life dances in your mind. I adore novels where one of the main characters is an author because it always gives the reader an insight to how an author views themselves (even if it’s on a subconscious level). So when I saw the synopsis for Melissa Foster’s READ, LOVE, WRITE, I knew I couldn’t pass it up! If you haven’t read Foster’s Love in Bloom or Remington series, it’s perfectly okay to delve right in. I haven’t read any books in the series and didn’t find anything that I would consider a spoiler. Character development is a bit weak. Our heroine is Leanna Bray and she’s a free spirit! Oh boy is she ever. I really liked her outlook on life and how she was cautious about saving the money she inherited. My problem with Leanna is at no point did I really get to know her. Everything I learned was from her friends and other than being a total opposite to Kurt, I’m still not sure what made her so special to him. In a romance novel, I want to know why the hero digs the girl and can’t get her out of his mind and I just couldn’t see it here. As for Kurt…oh he was a treat! I really liked getting to know him and we spend so much time with him. He’s not your typical Alpha and dare I say, he’s a bit Beta? Nevertheless, you’ll really like how rigid he is and I love how during the course of the story, he just allowed himself to adapt because he’s fallen in love. We also have a few secondary characters that play a vital role including Leanna’s dog, Pepper! Ah, Pepper stole the show hands down! What I liked about READ, LOVE, WRITE is the development of the story. I adored how these two opposites balanced each other out. I admit, I was a bit worried because Leanna and Kurt live in different cities and then on top of it, I was concerned about Kurt’s super secret gift to Leanna (I mean…what if she didn’t like it? I suffered a lot of anxiety waiting to see how things turned out). In the end, it was a cute story. What didn’t work for me was the abundance of characters. I had a bit of trouble trying to keep Leanna’s friends straight and midway through I just stopped caring. On Kurt’s side it was easier to manage since there weren’t many interactions with his friends and family. Also, as much I liked Leanna’s entire outlook and being a free spirit, I expected her to take her potential business plans more seriously. I rolled my eyes at a few scenes and won’t go into detail because I don’t want to spoil things, but I like to think anyone trying to go into business or sell a product on the scale she wanted would be better prepared. The whole situation just felt a bit unrealistic. Overall, Melissa Foster’s READ, LOVE, WRITE was a cute read. If you’re a fan of opposites attract type novels then you’ll want to check this out. I personally can’t wait to read her backlist and get to know the Remington clan a little better. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Their chemistry is amazing and opposites do attract. But both are in denial, neither needs a partner which makes it even better because we all know the tension is building between them and it’s only a matter of time.
It was a beautiful romance where we get to know the final Remington sibling properly and Leanna too but also get to catch up of the other family members too.
Melissa Foster again has outdone herself yet again and I can’t wait to read more from her. ( )
