Since I'm always looking for my next favorite author or my next favorite series, I have a lot of books by authors I haven't read before. This is one of those books.
While it is well written, it is not one I had an easy time reading. It just *lagged too much for me.
However, I would like to say, if you enjoy New Adult books that are very well written in the Rock Band type of story, you will very much like this one. Just remember it does 'Lag'. It is a good representation of a 'Between' book. What I mean by that is it is written in a 'Young Adult/New Adult' style.

I wasn't sure I would enjoy a 'rock star' romance, but I've read some of the other books S L Scott has written and loved them, so I thought I'd give this one a shot. To my surprise, this is one rock star romance I can appreciate. It meets all the requirements of a good romance read, hot guy, beautiful girl, sexual tension, high and low moments, and really great sex. It doesn't hurt that I've read that Adam Levine was her physical inspiration for Jack Dalton. And how can you go wrong with that visual? ( )

I downloaded the sample just to see if I was interested and was basically hooked from that point on. I enjoyed the story, I liked the characters, glad it wasn't a book with a cliffhanger but wouldn't be disappointed if a sequel was written either!

I enjoyed it, and if you like hot rockstars you might too! ( )

3.5 stars. Eh... It just didn't hit the spot. Jake Wethers and Kellan Kyle have set the rock star bar really high for me. I wanted to understand more about Dalton and his "demons". We were told he had them repeatedly but that was it. No real examples until the end and even that wasn't enough for me. I wanted to connect but I guess I missed the boat on this one. :( ( )

This was better than a lot of celeb romances. Sort of. If you've read any of my other reviews, you'll know that I hate the "see you across the room, feel sparks and HEA" storyline. For some reason, I kind of buy this guy being a bit self-involved and kind of an ass seeing a pretty woman walk into a bar and be attracted enough to say hey, it's Vegas. Ditto her. It's the change my rockstar lifestyle because I'm so in lurve with you instantly that bugs. This book delayed the emotions and just focused on them building a bit of connection at first. They're both flawed. And I feel badly for her hot (kind of shallow though, no?) neighbor at the end.

There's nothing super special about this one other than it's well-written and pretty hot and not offensive when it comes to developing and describing their relationship. If you like this genre, it's a must read. ( )
