From new Orleans to Edinburgh to London and Paris, Jim became part of the core London Underground scene in the 1960's as a catalyst in theater and in the founding of IT (International Times), the paper at the center of much of the early hippie scene there. Jim's book is filled with name dropping stories of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Mick Jagger, Germainer Greer, Vangelis and others along the path. It is about 50% composed of news clippings, letters, notes and photos saved along the the journey and fits nicely with Green's "Days in the Life" and the various books by Miles that help paint a picture of the sixties in London. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

This is an amble through Jim's life: although, it roughly follows a chronological stroll around his varied careers. This might sound as if it is going to be light on detail but, in a strange way, it tells the reader more about Jim Haynes than an entire library of conventional books.
I would love to be amongst those who have the privilege of calling Jim a friend. ( )
