Projects include using triangulation to measure distances, creating contour lines on a mini-mountain to understand elevation changes on a map, and inventing a sundial and compass to understand the basics of navigation. The history of maps in an amazing breakdown. Teaches you about the Earth and Solar System and so much more. It also has activities which are fun and very educational. Even though the world is fully of GPS technology, it is great to look back on how people did it before those tools. ( )
