I reviewed Knowing Vera (Romantic Suspense, Family Drama) (Chance for Love)in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Rachelle Ayala and published by Rachelle Ayala Publishing. This post contains Amazon Affiliate links and images First, the book is a part of the chance for love series. Knowing Vera is book #3. Vera has also appeared in other Ayala books: Hidden under her Heart and Broken Build, both I have reviewed before. The book starts off dramatic. The year is 1991 The introduction is short and ends in suicide. Vera is a child then. The book then fast forwards to Vera as an adult. The year is 2014. 23 years had past. Next, Vera, who is dating Zach. Zach is a former athlete, who lost part of his leg, saving someone else. The two have a friends with benefits relationship (sex), but Zach wants to date and start something serious. Their relationship is filled with family secrets on both sides. Vera breaks up with Zach because of one of those secrets. The book was a good read. Rachelle has an excellent writing style. The book is available in paperback and kindle. The book is also prime eligible. The book was really good especially that the character is from my place , Philippines. Well , Vera yes indeed have a love that can relate to many Filipina. As what I thought, I fully understand her dilemmas in falling in love. Avoiding and keeping herself from falling to someone , that is a very great challenge! I was grateful that I was able to read the book especially because it has a Filipina character. I have loved the story from the very beginning that's why I gave it 5 out of 5! My favorite genre was romance and I don't want it plain, I want it lavish, catchy and r-e-a-l-i-s-t-i-c ! Well I can relate to Vera, the pain, agony and repentance she had experience , I felt the same while I read the pages. That's how a good book is, when the reader starts to react, e with the book and share feelings to the characters. This book got me! The story not only follows Vera's investigation in find out the truth behind and what really happened, but also to discover if she can finally let herself go and accept that Zach may truly be in love with her. With Vera, not so sure of the love Zach has for her... that is really realistic, I have experienced that too! Two thumbs up! :) Romance and mystery all rolled into one leaves you with a darn near perfect package. Knowing Vera is the 3rd in a series of books (I haven’t read the first two) that entirely stands on its own. I really enjoyed getting to know both Vera and Zach throughout the pages of this novel. As in any great mystery, I was hooked right up until the end. I absolutely hate it when I can figure out the problem before the end. I didn’t have this problem this time! I truly enjoyed reading this book. It is more of an adventure story than a romance in my opinion, although romance is one of the main storylines through the book. I couldn't put this book down. I never knew what was going to happen, who the bad guy was, or who Vera could trust. Let me tell you a bit about the story, without giving too much away. Vera witnessed something terrible when she was a child. This led her to never truly trusting anyone enough to let go and fall in love. Vera starts to get strange letters and text messages referring to the horrible experience from her childhood. This leads her to an adventure with so many twists and turns that she can never quite figure out who to trust and who not to. Is she truly falling for Zach? Should she tell him her secret? Who is sending these messages to her? These questions and more are expertly answered in this incredibly written story. You will go on a journey with Vera from California to Australia as she searches for the answers, tries to avoid danger, and has a few steamy encounters. The ending has good closure on all the events throughout the book. There are no questions left unanswered, which I find refreshing. I dislike reading a book and then getting to the end with more questions than answers. The book is part of a series but each book can be read as a stand alone. I am going to read the other books now that I know how good the writing is by this author. I recommend this book to anyone that loves a good mystery as well as romance lovers. It is for adults, as there are a few steamy sex scenes. Dislaimer: I received a copy of this book for review purposes. Regardless, all opinions are my own. I was not required to leave a positive review.
Zach and Vera 's relationship is complex but their love story is one that will make your heart beat a little bit faster. Bumps in the road on her incredible journey Rachelle Ayala has created a romance you don't want to miss. This book is the 3rd in a series. In my opinion it can definitely be read on its own. I have not read the first two, and did not feel like I had missed out on any of the background at all. I felt like I had picked it up at the beginning of the tale. I received a complimentary copy of Knowing Vera for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own. Appartient à la sérieChance for Love (3)

"Knowing Vera" is a suspenseful, cross-cultural romance mixing an unsolved murder, adventure, and hot, steamy love scenes. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

The tangled web of a story that unfolds will keep you on your mind guessing at who is or is not to blame. Throwing in a romance adds another wonderful layer to this story. This is one of those novels that you really should schedule time to read, once started you will not be able to put it down until the very last page. A little teaser for you: Did her father really die before her own eyes? Is he still alive, trying to connect with her? Who is the villain? Who is not? Will she find her "happy ending" in love? Or is it all for not?
I highly recommend reading all of Rachelle Ayala's novels, she has a unique way of capturing a readers attention and keeping it to the absolute end. I feel as if I am slightly now becoming obsessed with her books, wanting more and more. ( )
