So saving your sister who wants nothing more than to be beautiful? And secretly you're looking down at that? I do get why you would and I was pleasantly surprised that that sister was strong enough to not apologize for that. I think that's why I'm liking these comics so much. Being a woman does not come with one set of rules. In fact you make your own. And every one of us is different. I truly believe that. But sometimes... you just follow those pesky unwritten rules because it's easier and these comics show that too. Plus it's so frigging adorbs at times! Cute cute cute. Can't wait for the next one! Still pretty great, but the one jarring scene to me was when Adrienne and Bedelia wake up in the morning, Adrienne with frizzy hair and Bedelia with a mustache (thanks to her dwarf blood). Both freak out over it because there's a boy around, which seems so out of character for both of them and doesn't keep in line with the book's message of being feminist and independent. Full review at Little Book Jockey. This one was a little less fun than the first one, but I still enjoyed it and plan to continue the series aucune critique | ajouter une critique

"Adrienne's epic journey continues in the sequel to the award winning Princeless: Save yourself. This time Adrienne's mission is to rescue her sister Angelica, the most beautiful princess in all the land. Meanwhile, Adrienne's father, King Ashe, who believes Adrienne has been murdered by a mysterious dragon riding knight, has gathered the bravest knights in the kingdom [to] bring her killer to justice, not knowing that the knight they are hunting is actually Adrienne" -- p. I loved that this series is showing different types of princesses. It's okay that Adrienne doesn't want to be the traditional feminine court beauty, but it's also okay that her sister Angelica does. There's not just one mold of a strong female character, and this series is showing that wonderfully. ( )
