Summer’s Journey Volume One is a short story of only sixteen pages. It’s a quick read that immediately sucked me in from the beginning. The story was well paced, only slowing when Summer took a ‘quiz’ on the website that Mark, the man she is thinking of getting involved with, set up for her.

It’s clear that Mark is a Dom and that Summer, a 40ish recent divorcee, doesn’t know what she is getting into. I can see how the character of Summer reacted to Mark’s directions via the website. However, I did find it difficult to fully get into Summer’s personality just because of the fact that Mark was instructing her what to do. I suppose it’s actually telling that the author was able to successfully get a reaction of resistance from me every time Mark gave directions to Summer. I know I would not have liked Mark's method of dealing with Summer and would have found it much harder, if not impossible, to trust a strange man like Summer did. In fact red flags raise up all over for me in that Summer doesn’t really know this person and Mark could be a murderer. Summer doesn’t really think about her personal safety because it would be quite easy for a murderer to be intelligent and charming.

I did have a problem with the fact that Mark chose the safeword for Summer to use. Since it was possible to type in responses on the webpage, he could have let her choose a word that she would have felt comfortable with.

Other than the fact that I found myself personally resisting and cringing at the instructions of Mark the Dom throughout the story, Summer’s Journey was well written and I think those people that like BDSM, would enjoy reading it. I give this 3 stars

This book was pretty awesome. For such a story it had so many highs and lows and I enjoyed getting to know Summer. Let me tell you what I did like.

1.) I think Summer Daniels is going to write a brilliant story.
2.) It was witty and humorous.
3.) I love me some Mike and Summer is just brilliant

What I didn't like.

1.) The more I got into the book the quicker it ended.. I have a love/hate relationship with these serial novels. ( )

I always love a raw and honest approach such as the one here. The story creates a sense of wanting to discover more along with the character Summer. A very creative idea with much anticipation for what will happen next. ( )

This was really some journey. "Summer's Journey" by Summer Daniels is very real that most women can relate to. I found this short story a very interesting read. ( )

Summer is now divorced and starting over , she decides to place an Ad to find someone to satisfy her sexual needs. After several E-mails , she meets with Mark , which is not looking to move to fast , he gives Summer some "instructions" to follow if they are going to take it to the next step. Summer has to decide wheather or not to trust him and give him total control and hope he makes her fantasies come true , or give up and find someone else.

This is a Sizzling, Erotica , Romance. It's exciting to be taking this life changing Journey with Summer !!
