The War of 1812 is long over. The War of 2012 has just begun. IRONSIDES' PERIL is the new Zach Colt thriller from award-winning author Michael D. Urban. The City of Boston is under attack. A trail of burning ships and downed jet aircraft litters the harbor. A ruthless band of Iranian backed terrorists has hijacked U.S.S. Constitution. A former president of the United States, the current vice president, and the secretary of the Navy are onboard together with the ship's crew and other hostages. Unfortunately for the terrorists, so is Zach Colt. And he's spoiling for a fight. Now it's time to take "Old Ironsides" back. Before she is destroyed and the terrorists' final, devastating revenge is enacted on the City of Boston. The question is ... How do you recapture an 18th-Century warship - and sacred American icon -- using 21st-Century weapons and tactics?… (plus d'informations)

Ironsides’ Peril is a wild ride at sea. In this fast-paced action adventure novel, author Michael D. Urbin skillfully intertwines wonderfully detailed descriptions of early nineteenth century nautical lore with the most modern Navy and Coast Guard operations. Easy-reading escapism on a foundation of serious nautical scholarship: a great premise, well done. ( )

Detective Lt. Paul Murphy recognized the carving on the dead woman hanging on the fence of the old zoo's bear pit as the work of international terrorist Mustafa. Muhammad Al-Buyid has a plan to capture the restored USS Constitution and use it as a weapon against the United States. Zach Colt is on the Board of Directors that oversees the maintenance of the Constitution. He worked alongside the others and was looking forward to sailing the ship in celebration of the War of 1812 bicentennial. It was be a trip they won't soon forget.

It is hard to keep a good ship down. ( )
