Gerald, five of his friends, his parents, and his parents' closest fifty friends head to Gerald's private ski resort for the Christmas holidays. But the trip gets off to a lousy start. Ruby has refused to speak a word to Gerald ever since she met Gerald's new girlfriend Felicity at the airport. Alisha is ticked off at Ox, who mistook her for a waitress. Gerald forgot to buy a Christmas present for Felicity and needs to find something in the next two days. Sir Mason Green, the villain who murdered Gerald's great-aunt and tried to kill Gerald several times, has escaped from jail. To top it all off, armed intruders break into the ski resort and kidnap all the guests and staff except for Gerald, Ruby, Sam, and Felicity.

Gerald and his friends travel from California to London to Prague to solve the mystery and rescue the hostages. This is a fun adventure with awesome characters. Gerald may be a billionaire who has been taking private flying lessons at his boarding school, but he is also a normal, oblivious teenage boy. Sam is even more oblivious than Gerald. Ox is awkward with girls, but he has been taking assertiveness training to increase his self confidence, which does not work out well when he meets Ruby and Alisha. Alisha may be a little snooty especially when mistaken for a waitress, but she gives good advice. Ruby may be mad at Gerald for having a new girlfriend, but she does not take it out on Felicity. Felicity is a chatterbox, but she has a warm heart and fantastic self defense skills.
